How Can We Help?

Alexander’s Mosquito Reduction Service

Mosquitoes and their bites are more than an itchy inconvenience, they can also pose public health risks.

Our Mosquito Reduction Service will allow you to enjoy your outdoor spaces in the warmer months again while also minimizing your risk of mosquito borne illnesses. Our technicians treat shrubs, bushes, ivy, and ornamental vegetation to target mosquitoes, and each treatment lasts about a month. Mosquitoes aren’t long-distance travelers, so we can very effectively treat specific areas of your property with great results. We are conscious of protecting our pollenator friends so we avoid spraying any flowering plants.

What to Expect with your Mosquito Service

INSPECT THE AREA

We will inspect the area, identifying the pest problem, selecting appropriate control methods, applying pesticides judiciously, and then evaluating the effectiveness. We may also suggest things you can do, such as removing items that can hold water and breed mosquitoes.

Monthly Mosquito Service

Our services are usually performed on a monthly basis, during the warm weather months. You may select service for any number of months, even on an “as needed” basis. Regular treatments at monthly intervals are recommended to continually keep mosquito populations at an acceptable level.

COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT

We treat both adult mosquitoes on plants, shrubs, and other vegetation and larvae in standing water areas. Each treatment is expected to keep mosquito populations down for approximately 28 days, depending on weather conditions in the days and weeks after treatment.

Not Just a Nuisance

Our Mosquito Reduction Service keeps the warmer months comfortable and safe

In addition to keeping your yard comfortable all season long, controlling mosquitoes can help protect you, your family, and your pets from diseases spread by mosquitoes, such as West Nile Virus. Due to extended warm and wet winters attributed to climate change, we are seeing increased numbers of mosquito vectors and instances of disease that were previously confined to different countries, such as Dengue Fever in Florida and Eastern Equine Encephalitis in Michigan.

Alexander Mosquito Service Benefits

Kudzu & Boxelder Bugs

Service for kudzu bugs and boxelder bugs is provided as a component of our mosquito reduction service.  Service involves treating vegetation, like a mosquito treatment, as well as treating the building where they normally congregate. This is provided as either an add-on to a regular mosquito treatment or as a separate service. Customers who only need treatment for kudzu bugs or boxelder bugs will experience mosquito reduction as an added benefit!

Integrated Pest Management

IPM means more than just applying pesticides. It involves several steps targeted at your specific problems and focuses on removing the three key elements pests need to survive: food, water and shelter. Making your yard a less desirable destination for mosquitoes will help to reduce mosquito populations. This provides you with a longer-term solution in the least intrusive manner possible.

Quality Guaranteed

We stand behind our services. You will see a significant reduction in mosquitoes that lasts up to four weeks following application. You may terminate your mosquito service plan at any time without penalty if you’re not satisfied with the results. We have been designated a QualityPro company by the  National Pest Management Association since 2005. The company is a member of the GPCA, the AMCA, and the NPMA, and has been a Best Pick company since 1998.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is mosquito season?

Mosquito season occurs in warm weather months from Spring to early Fall—usually from April to October.

How long does Mosquito treatment last?

Each treatment is expected to keep mosquito populations down for approximately 28 days, depending on weather conditions in the days and weeks after treatment.

How much does the Mosquito treatment cost?

Our per visit service starts at $75, based on the size of the area treated.

Will treatment eradicate mosquitoes from my yard?

Treatment can substantially reduce mosquito populations in your yard, even if you live in close proximity to other neighbors who do not have mosquito treatments performed, but we do not eliminate mosquitoes, and we do not guarantee that you will not be bitten by mosquitoes or contract a disease from mosquitoes. We still recommend taking precautions to protect yourself from mosquitoes and mosquito bites.

Will mosquito treatments kill pollinators?

We are conscious about protecting our pollinator friends, so we do not spray any flowering plants.
